Daintree Rainforest
Location: Far North Queensland
Price: FREE BUT TAKE A TOUR
Why Go: National Heritage Site which is absolutely stunning
Website and Bookings: https://daintreerainforest.au/tours/
Located at the far top of Queensland the Daintree Forest is a spectular site which is one of the best biologically diverse rainforests in the world.
You can tour this maginificent rainforest on your own but DON’T. There are crocodiles and they aren’t friendly. The hazzard far outweighs the cost involved. We went on a cruise on the river and saw many crododiles and our as our tour guide stated, children have been caught just loitering near the water.
Why Visit:
Home to a huge percentage of the entire country’s animal population. This includes 30% of Australia’s frog population, 65% of butterfly and bats and around 12,000 different insect species. As well as being diverse, the animals are unique.

It is, but it’s also very dangerous. Those crocs take their opportunities with complete disregard to human lives
