Why Go: Amazing Natural Wonder
Website: https://southaustralia.com/products/limestone-coast/attraction/blue-lake-warwar
Ok, this one is regional, but its well worth the drive. Located a 4-hour drive from the capital city of Adelaide, the Blue Lake is an extinct volcano. It boasts a walking track which moonlights as a community run on Sundays and is free to visit.
Why Visit:
The view is outstanding, it’s also a lovely drive with plenty of attractions on the way. Also, strangely enough, most of the attractions in Mount Gambier are free, so you get plenty of bang for your buck.

I particularly liked Mount Gambier as the attractions were all free. The town doesn’t really need the tourism, so it doesn’t extort the visitors

It had been drizzling all day, but then the sun came out, so I was very lucky
