Certain flowers have a love affair with bees
Did you know that some flowers only release their pollen grains when they feel a bee buzzing on them?

Including tomatoes, potatoes, chillis, blueberries, and some lily varieties. They hold their pollen in a deep narrow tube, and the bees vibrate the blossom to shake it loose. That’s also why commercial greenhouses often have hives inside glasshouses – manual pollution doesn’t work as well.
Is that rose in your garden? Very pretty.

I did not know that, plants are very resourceful. All of the photos this month were taken during a holiday in Tasmania. 🙂
