Stifling a sigh George lowered his backpack to the ground, it had seemed such a simple task, climb to the top of the hill, take a photo of the view, and return. It had seemed simple, when he was paired with Steve, he’d known it wouldn’t be.
Steve insisted they take his short cut; they’d be back so quickly they could have a drink before the seminar.
George rolled his eyes, Steve was currently sitting on a bench at the bottom of the cliff face with a rolled ankle, but that was how life unfolded.
Reaching for his phone George scrolled through his play list, then with a smirk he hit play.
“I did it my way.”
Right on, Frank, right on.

good one Deb, I too prefer to do it my way … and have had a few rolled ankles 🙂
