Unrequited Love
Heartbroken, in despair
My true love she doesn’t care
I can no longer laugh with hope
I do not know how to cope
My heart is broken beyond repair
Once you said you loved me true
That I was the only one who knew
How to please you, I was your true delight
Did you say those words from spite?
For my love will never be reviewed
Now I’m consumed with sadness
If you reconsider, I’ll feel gladness
Perhaps love still dwells in your heart
I swear my dear we shouldn’t part
To waste a love like ours is madness
