a rainbow in words- 6th

Fantastic Red

Red, Bright Vivid Fantastic Red
The colour of passion fast
Speeding down the highway at last
Music booming in my head
Red, Bright Vivid Fantastic Red

Hey, watch out I’m zooming past
My baby doesn’t need to be asked
Shredding the road so it’s bled
Red, Bright Vivid Fantastic Red

Dansa

Here are the guidelines for writing the dansa:

  • Opening quintain (or 5-line stanza) followed by quatrains (or 4-line stanzas)
  • The opening line of the first stanza is the final line of every stanza, including the first
  • Rhyme scheme in the opening stanza: AbbaA (capital A represents the refrain)
  • Rhyme scheme in all other stanzas: bbaA

No other rules for subject, length, or meter. Told you there was a lot of freedom with this one!

      1. We all go to extremes sometimes, and let’s be honest it gave us that wonderful line: the artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince 🙂
