A Letter A Week – U

Hey everyone,

So we’re getting close to the end, and the slope is getting pretty slippery, but before we worry abut that, lets review where T took us.

Kate from Aroused

Truth is times are tempting
to trek here and there
but it’s more tactical
or topical to tramp
in the tropics than turn
traitor to the turkeys and toucans!

Fandango from This, That and The Other

Carol Anne from Therapy Bits

KL Casey from New To Writing

Sadje from Keep It Alive

Christine from Stine Writing

Leyde Ryan from Hourglass Poetry

Jaquintin Writer from Creative Life of Today’s Senior Citizens

Onto the rules: This prompt is very simple, there is one rule only. Your response needs to contain the letter of the week, other than that you’re free to do as you wish. The prompts I offer are not compulsary, they’re just suggestions but it does close at 12pm on Saturday, so I have time to do the roundup.

If you’d like to join in use the tag #1letterperweek, and ping back and we’ll see how it goes.

So, onto U and this week’s prompts.

Ok, before the prompts a little comment, as it is getting thorny this end of the alphabet, so if you have difficulty finding an animal in the real world, imaginary is just as good or no animals at all. It’s all up to you.

Place – Universe

Emotion – Uncomfortable

Adjective – Unadorned

Verb – Unnerve

My animal – Umbrella Bird

A Little Less Conversation

The universe is an uncomfortable place, it came to me one day.
The truth unadorned, has the ability to unnerve I say.
You see I thought Elvis was dead, long gone, in another world
I was right in that bit, an alternate one, did he delve
He’s still singing, and he’s still swivelling those hips
But he’s no longer a human, he’s an umbrella bird instead
