Simply 6 Minutes – Welcome to the Challenge: 08/09/2022

I woke from a sound sleep up with a start, turned on my nightstand light, and exhaled.
I’d been remembering, remembering ducks who wore pj’s
(See, see, wasn’t that a subtle segway)
Down feathers, webbed feet
little tufted drake paddling,
Those pjs are a
terrible pairing fellow
for your wet activity
On you bike mister
… which reminds me of that time me and sis were barrelling down the old dirt track.
(Kapow, another wonderful segway)
Our screams fill the air
desperate glances ignored
lost in the moment
Seems in all my days the weather has held good, perhaps it’s those wind turbines I begged papa to create
(You didn’t see that one coming, did you?)
He build them on that ridge which corrals the crops.
Splash of lavender
Wheat bends in a gentle breeze
Spellbound I linger
Contrast intoxicating
Nothing is more beautiful
(Now for the big climax!!!!)
Ducks, bikes, wind turbines, lavender, wheat.
Now it’s time to go back to sleep
