Camp NaNoWriMo – 29th

twilight

Nightfall, a grace comprising such delight
Contentment strolling on embankment broad
Persistent chill, a tempest winters eve

A murky darkness hovers, offers light
A dappled beauty wielding mighty sword
Perhaps confounded sorrow glibly weaved

Suppressing insistent shiver, hurry
Awareness, mortal struck demanding chord
Capricious, hungry, darkness consumes, thieved?
Uneasy, banks upright, did I scurry
Twilight, demanding attitude, deceive

Sonnet

A fixed verse form of Italian origin consisting of 14 lines that are typically 5-foot iambics rhyming according to a prescribed scheme
