Fault
If I had that moment to replay
Would I be so cocky, so sure, so confident?
He, who stared at me with such disbelief
Would he now be witnessing my defeat?
It was an unstopped wave of fury
My patience and tolerance sacrificed
At that moment all I felt, came to the fore
In an unhealth bout of rancour
My anger rose, I uttered the words aloud
Then drew in my frustration, my wrath expired
I was able, through my experience and wits
I drew the end in neat, my anger called it quits
By now I find that I cannot
Take any form of delight
Yes, I won, yes I prevailed
But there is a dissatisfaction in the air
Did I overstep that fine line? Was I wrong, and does he truly care?
A soliloquy is a monologue spoken by a theatrical character which expresses the character’s inner thoughts and emotions. Soliloquies may be written in common prose, but the most famous soliloquies—including those by Hamlet and countless other William Shakespeare characters—are written in poetic verse.

I didn’t see it, but I saw a snippet which prompted the poem 😊

I knew immediately when you wrote it what you were referencing
I caught the highlights on line myself
