Max looked up infuriated, the leaking downpipe was making him need the toilet urgently, but he’d hold on, it seemed he needed to state the obvious again.
“Shots, cuts, and a body nailed to the porch … I don’t think you need to hesitate in making that statement boss.”
Boss seemed to vibrate his discontent as he brushed his hand through his hair.
“Facts solve the case John, not assumptions.”
He grimaced, “Miss Hopping’s admitted she shot the rat.”
