So today we have one which is probably pretty obvious:
Writer’s Goals:
I think most of us have a similar goal, we want to keep writing, we want to publish, and of course the big one, we want to know our book is being read.
Tha last one is the real killer for me. Has anyone else wondered if anyone actually reads their books? Has anyone else just itched to get a bit of feedback, even if its, nope, didn’t like it? Has anyone else wondered how to reach those who will actually let you know what they thought?
That’s my goal. To get a bit of feedback, no matter how hard it hits.
If you’ve got a writer’s goal this year, let me know in the comments.

Seriously, I know good authour, people whose work has been published and who have earned money from it, who instead of saying “yay, I’ve been published”, will say “Oh, god, it’s 2 months since I was published. Maybe I’ve gone off the boil…”
Worrying about anything other than self-improvement is bs.

Exactly. I would just like to know I’m read. Otherwise it seems a bit like a waste of efforts

I used to think that about my other blog, music -focussed, which has only 10% of the traffic of my main blog. Why write if nobody reads? But over time it has gained some.

This year I’m trying to read more independant authors and write reviews and post them everywhere. I’m hoping that someone might then be inspired to read they’re books.

I don’t really set goals anymore. I learned the hard way that to set goals and dreams just means to fail. So, I just do whatever I can each day and try to be happy with that.
As for feedback, I love to read what people think of my short stories. For my books, however, no. I will never go and read a review. I had too many negatives from past reviews and betas and so they are not helpful and best ignored.

Iβve had negative reviews, but my daughter told me, you canβt tell people what to like, and sheβs right. If I like my story, then it should be enough

for sure, we have to write for us and be happy. The views of others are for them not us.

Hey Mason, Iβll be doing a review for your book tomorrow, are you on Goodreads?

Hello, Pam. Thank you.
I don’t have a Goodreads anymore. I deleted it after getting fed up with useless notifications for a platform I had no use for really.
I appreciate the review though so thank you very much.

I’ll post on Amazon, WordPress and your Facebook page then π. I’m really enjoying it. It reminds me of ME Beatons cosy mysteries π

Get more topics to write on. But the thing is I love writing poems and poetry, and I have few more poems to post too.
That’s why I kinda get baffled and have to think before posting.
