Trees towering,
Stretching towards the clouds
Grey and sullen
As she walks unseeingly through
The maze of trunks
Silent stalwarts of a peace
Unfettered by civilizations
Crippling demands.
She does not notice the
Peacefulness of silence.
She does not see the
Vibrancy of nature.
She does not feel
The sweet touch of freedom.
She does not hear
Anything at all.
The majesty above her head is ignored,
The screen in her hands devours all.

This is so true, unfortunately. Many times the beauty of the nature is totally ignored for the screen in the hand. Great poem and take Deb

You’re welcome! I don’t do it outside of my homes because I am very likely to trip and fall.

How does the majesty of nature begin to compare with a new email???

I doubt it’s an email, more likely a YouTube video 🤨

The beauty is there but sometimes we have to look for it. Excellent piece, Deb.

Ugh and I was thinking she had some weighty, meaningful thoughts in her head. Nope, just on TikTok most likely.
