How unsurprising, he always wanted to go first and she shook her head, “Sorry, but we’re trying for subtly on this occasion. You’ll be sitting this one out.”
“That’s so not fair.”
Came the grumbling reply but she ignored it, turning to the paler hues with an encouraging smile, “Gentle, with gradual changes is the effect we’re after. We want to make them sigh and forget their troubles. You, first.”
Unhurriedly they worked, each complementing the other, letting experimenting as they created a visual delight and she smiled.
“Look, we’ve created a gorgeous sunset.”
