Absentmindedly Max turned, “Gravity, isn’t that why I fell from the top of the door?”
At this remark Ralph rolled his eyes, “Not that type of gravity Max, you don’t realise how serious our predicament is.”
“I thought it had improved substantially, the larders full, we’re in a comfy home and they’ve gone.”
The last point was stressed and Ralph nodded vigorous, “Exactly, they’ve gone and we have no idea how long. COVID, Max.”
Max blinked, “So?”
“We’re mice, if they don’t come back it’s the final curtain Max.”
