What Do You See #91

His word were like tar,

They clung to his every pore,

Infiltrating and demoralizing,

His dream to be more.

Each day he slung his insults,

Each day he got his kicks,

Each day the mud got thicker,

This guy never missed.

But as time passed,

And his horizons expanded,

He began to realize,

Something very candid.

Letting others dictate your worth,

Was a fool’s game at best.

The hurtful words spoken,

Reflection them, they weren’t his bequest.

On this positive note,

He began to ignore the chap.

He had better things to do,

Like putting his hand into a mousetrap.
